Pakistan Embassy participation in ALFS Charity Bazaar

      On 8 April 2014, the Charity Bazaar of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) was held at ANA Intercontinental Hotel in Tokyo.

      In the event, 26 Embassies set up handicrafts and food booths at the bazaar.  Her Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi and the First Lady Madam Aki Abe attended the event and had lunch with the lady organizers of the bazaar from various embassies.  They also drew raffle and door prizes and enjoyed cultural performances from Asia-Pacific Countries.

      Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) and Minister Economic Dr. Talat Imtiaz were present and participated in all activities.  They also met with Her Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi and the First Lady at the Pakistan stall.  The VVIP guests spent a considerable time looking at the items, displaying a keen interest in the handicrafts and especially the green tea from Hunza Valley.

      Under the supervision of Dr. Talat Imtiaz Minister Economic, the Pakistan Embassy set up its stall exhibiting shawls, handmade jeweled table cloths, jeweled bags and wooden brass inlaid artifacts and Pakistan cotton bed linen.  The Pakistani food stall served various delicious curries, eatables, juices and tea. Pakistan products were greatly appreciated by the hundreds of visitors to the bazaar.
