Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Mayor Karachi visited Tokyo from 25 February to 3 March 2024. He participated in a Seminar arranged by the World Bank Group titled “Technical Dive on Water Secure Cities” hosted by the Tokyo Development Learning Center.
The Mayor also held meetings with Ms. Imoto Sachiko, Senior Vice President, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Mr. Masahiro Komura, Parliamentary Vice-Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Both sides discussed enhancing cooperation between City Government of Karachi and Japan in multiple fields.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan Mr. Raza Bashir Tarar also hosted the Mayor and his delegation for a dinner.
