Opening of Japan Center at NUST, Islamabad.

(Tokyo, May 23, 2022): A hybrid ceremony was held today regarding opening of Japan Center at National University and Technology (NUST), Islamabad with the cooperation of a Japanese IT Company Plus W. Pakistan Embassy in Tokyo participated in the ceremony virtually.

The Embassy had earlier facilitated the signing of an agreement between NUST and Plus W in March 2022 for the purpose of establishing the Japan-Pacific Human Resources Exchange Center within the NUST University, with the aim of creating opportunities in careers such as employment for Pakistani IT engineers at Japanese companies after graduating from University.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan in Pakistan Mitsuhiro Wada, Charge d’ Affaires a.i. of Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo Ms. Ismat Hassan Sial, Rector NUST, Lt. Gen. Javed Mahmood Bukhari (HI) M and Founder/CEO of W Plus Ms. Wakako Sakurai.

Ms. Ismat Hassan Sial, Charge d’ Affaires a.i. in her remarks mentioned that the opening of the Japan Center will create opportunities for Pakistani youth and assured continued support in future.
