Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Farukh Amil called on His Excellency Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs

          Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Farukh Amil called on His Excellency Mr. Minoru Kiuchi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Government of Japan at the latter’s office today.

            Recalling the recent visit to Pakistan by Mr. Taro Kimura, Special Advisor to His Excellency Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who called on His Excellency Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and delivered a personal message addressed to him by the Japanese Prime Minister.

            Vice Minister Kiuchi praised the democratic transition in Pakistan as a landmark achievement through the May 2013 General Elections. He also described the investment opportunities in Pakistan as very encouraging.

            Vice Minister Kiuchi expressed the hope to have a comprehensive discussion with the leadership in Pakistan on bilateral and regional issues. He also reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to continue to work closely with Pakistan especially towards infrastructural projects.

           The Ambassador highlighted the importance of the bilateral relationship and underscored the importance of Japanese support in development in particular of infrastructure, transportation and energy projects. He also expressed gratitude and appreciation for the Government of Japan for its continued support and cooperation with Government and people of Pakistan.
