Pakistan's Ambassador toTokyo HE Mr. Farukh Amil alongwith Incharge of Embassy's trade team Dr. Talat Imtiaz called on Mr. Kazuo Kaneko, President of HIDA (Overseas Human Resources & Development Association)

      Tokyo (July 9, 2013) –Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) along with the Embassy senior business and trade team Dr. Talat Imtiaz and Mr. Shehzad Ahmed Khan called on Mr. Kazuo Kaneko, President of HIDA (Overseas Human Resources and Development Association). HIDA established in 1959 has been helping to promote economic growth through its training programmes for last six decades in Pakistan. President HIDA was assisted by Director of the Board, Secretary General HIDA Research Institute and Chief Researcher Global Strategy Group HIDA Research Institute.

      The Ambassador praised HIDA’s training programmes in Pakistan and welcomed HIDA Alumni in Pakistan to play their important role in economic development. He requested President HIDA to increase the number of training programmes for Pakistanis which had decreased in recent years. He underlined that merit was critical and that HIDA should focus on SMEs, and the crucial sectors of energy and infrastructure development. The Ambassador underlined that the people of Pakistan had chosen democracy and this had heralded the smooth democratic transition from one elected government to the next. This milestone of democratic stability augured well for economic development and business confidence in particular. Pakistan with its huge domestic and regional markets was an ideal location. Human resources development, the Ambassador said, was critical in harnessing the energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurship of Pakistan’s youth.

      President HIDA said that it would hold a Management Training Programme in cooperation with the PJBF (Pakistan Japan Business Forum) in October 2013 with 24 trainees from Pakistan.
