Pakistan Ambassador meets a 4-member NEC Corp delegation

 

 

                   Tokyo (June 13, 2013) – A four member delegation of NEC Corporation, Japan met with Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) today. Mr. Masahiro Ikeno and Mr. Kuwano Ryuichi made a presentation on NEC Corporation’s global operations, focusing on the ongoing projects in Pakistan. The Ambassador stressed that Pakistan was keen for further investment by Japanese corporations in Pakistan. He also called upon NEC, with its near ¥ 400 billion capital and 114 years of operations, to invest in the field of power generation and suggest new technological solutions in order to address the energy challenge in Pakistan.

                   The Ambassador urged the NEC to train young people from Pakistan to learn the Japanese work ethic and technology. He emphasized that the Japan-trained Pakistani youth would be an investment and asset for the Japanese companies operating businesses in Pakistan. During the briefing it was highlighted that NEC has been working in a number of projects in Pakistan. The company offers world recognized quality expertise in telecommunications, biometric and identification systems, physical security solutions, such as automated finger print and facial recognition technologies and also public safety and disaster management.

                   The Ambassador and the Embassy’s Economic team will now be visiting NEC’s Shinagawa facilities for further discussions to strengthen NEC’s business activities in Pakistan.
