Ambassador Farukh Amil called on the new State Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Seiji Kihara. The Minister and Ambassador reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral ties and expressed commitment to further deepening and expanding relations in areas of mutual benefit. Ambassador also briefed the Minister about the Government's priorities including economic revival, regional integration, the Prime Minister's vision of a "Peaceful Neighborhood" and commitment to the international rule of law. In presenting the book entitled "Spirit of Peace”, the Ambassador underscored Pakistan's tangible contribution in establishing global peace through consistent participation in the United Nations Peacekeeping.
The Minister welcomed the recent important meeting between the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and Japanese Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the 12th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM FM12) in Luxembourg on 5 November 2015. He said that Japan would continue to maintain its key development partnership with Pakistan.
