The Embassy of Pakistan held the Pakistan Investment Seminar – 2015 on 15th October, at the Events Hall of the Embassy in Tokyo. The seminar was attended by more than sixty businessmen from a large number of Japanese companies. Prominent among them were Nissan motor company, Sojitz Machinery corp. and Sojitz Automotive & Engineering, Morinaga milk company, NEC, Kao corporation, Ryoshin Denki company who have shown serious interest in Pakistani market. There were also a number of companies having interest in but not introduced to Pakistan before. These were recommended by Keidanren and Japan Overseas Enterprises Agency.
The Seminar was formally inaugurated by the Ambassador Farukh Amil who spoke about Pakistan’s economic turnaround. Economic Minister gave an in depth presentation about Pakistan’s investment Potential and the various profitable opportunities in the energy, infrastructure, agriculture & Dairy farming and mining and minerals sectors. She also invited the businessmen to visit Islamabad for the Pakistan International Conference on November 4 to 5, 2015. The details of the conference program were shared with them.
Three Japanese Companies operating in Pakistan; Suzuki Motor, Marubeni Corporation and Yamaha Motor company made presentations about their Operations in Pakistan.
Seminar ended with informal networking and buffet dinner.
