Communication with Children in Pakistan

Continuing efforts to build bridges between the students of Pakistan and Japan, Ambassador Farukh Amil had a Skype interaction session with children of Bloom Field Hall School (BFHS) in Multan.

Students of Class-V & Class-VI showed immense interest to learn about Japan, its technology, its culture, geography, its people and the role of the Embassy. During the interaction the children posed various interesting and thought-provoking questions on different subjects. Despite their youth children of BFHS Multan showed high intelligence and keen interest in the Shinkansen (bullet train), modern automative technologies, environmental issues and important historical places in Japan.

The Ambassador informed that Japan was highly organized society which scientifically handled frequent natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes and tsunamis. Ambassador expressed the hope that children of Pakistan would be able to have the same level of education and training to be able to deal with such natural disasters in a modern and scientific manner. He impressed upon the children that it was up to each and every one of them to take care of Pakistan by keeping its environment clean, just as Japanese children did. He informed them that all Japanese school children and their teachers spent 15 minutes every day cleaning their schools. It made them grow into responsible adults who loved their country.
