A twelve member delegation from Agriculture Department,Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan visited the Embassy on 28 September, 2015. The delegationwas visiting Japan as part of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) sponsored training.
Deputy Chief of Mission welcomed the delegation and briefed the delegates on the status of bilateral relations.
Minister Economic gave a presentation to the delegates on JICA’s support in economic development of Pakistan and briefed on JICA’s past and future role in contributing to Agriculture Sector.
Professor Hirashima, who has been associated with Pakistan for over 5 decades, also addressed the gathering and shed light on areas of cooperation and ongoing effort to preserve & promote tree fruit from Gilgit Baltistan area which he plans to visit again soon.
