Professor Masato Kuwabara the President of Sapporo University and the senior Faculty welcomed Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) in first ever visit of any Ambassador to Sapporo University. During the meeting Ambassador raised the need to develop institutional mechanisms between Sapporo University and Universities in Pakistan. Outlining appreciation for the Japanese education system, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of exchange of Faculty and students between the two countries in order to deepen understanding. President Sapporo University agreed and promised to positively pursue the establishment of a MoU between Sapporo University and a suggested Pakistani counterpart by the Embassy of Pakistan. The President expressed great interest in students from Pakistan. Later the Ambassador delivered a lecture to the students and Faculty of the University. The interactive gathering was followed by lively question and answer session.
