During the visit to Hokkaido Prefecture, the Ambassador met with the Pakistani community in both Sapporo and Otaru. He visited the recently constructed beautiful Masjid at Otaru and joined the community in prayers, Iftar and dinner. On Friday the Ambassador met with senior members of the community including Graduate students in Sapporo at Sapporo Masjid. Speaking to the Imam of the Masjid the Ambassador reiterated the important contribution of the Pakistani community in keeping alive the Muslim identity in Japan.
