Ambassador Farukh Amil welcomed by Mr. Toshiaki Katsuki Vice Chairman Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to discuss promotion of bilateral trade and investment. In the meeting the Ambassador outlined the Government's agenda to secure investment in priority areas of energy, infrastructure, transportation , small and medium dams. He also stressed the need for a level playing field to be provided to Pakistan on market access issues. He invited Vice Chairman and the members of SCCI to participate in the upcoming EXPO-14.
Vice Chairman appreciated the visit to share information about Pakistan that would be very productive for business communities in both countries. He expressed keen interest in infrastructure development projects in Pakistan. He also assured to offer internships to Pakistani students studying in Sapporo. He supported the Ambassador's idea to establish institutional linkages between SCCI and it's corresponding trade bodies in Pakistan.
