As a follow-up to the Ambassador’s call on the Chairman of the NEC Corporation, the NEC team comprising of Mr. Naoyuki Takagi, Department Manager, (Middle East, North African & CIS), Europe, the Middle East & Africa Division, Mr. Ryuichi Kuwano, Manager, EMEA Division and Mr. Atif Habib, Assistant Manager, Islamabad, called on Ambassador Farukh Amil at the Embassy.
The Ambassador reiterated the importance which the Government attached to finding smart energy solutions to address the energy challenge in Pakistan. Smart projects being developed by the NEC to help control electricity theft and reduce line losses would therefore be of great importance. The Ambassador appreciated NEC’s quick favorable response and action to hire young Pakistani professionals under training and intern programmes as suggested in the earlier meeting at NEC Headquarters. He stressed that this message was continually conveyed to all major Japanese Corporations in order to strengthen the Human Resource Development of Pakistan.
