Tokyo (21st October, 2013): Ambassador Farukh Amil visited Aoyama Gakuin Senior High School to deliver a presentation to the teenage students, approximately 70 in number along with the Faculty.
Aoyama Gakuin Senior High School is considered one of the most prestigious schools in Tokyo. Founded in 1948 it has produced many notable citizens of Japan including Parliamentarians.
The Ambassador highlighted the length and depth of Pakistan-Japan bilateral relations and urged that the youth in both countries should be aware of the strong heritage of the friendly history and help build new bridges of understanding. The Ambassador showed the Japanese students many architectural, geographical wonders of Pakistan and also highlighted the vibrant and rich culture. There was a panel discussion where the students posed numerous questions on topical issues, particularly on the state of education in Pakistan especially for girls. The students also displayed a keen interest in Pakistan’s history and regional issues.
