Tokyo: Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) called on Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Shinsuke Sugiyama at the Foreign Ministry. Matters of mutual interest including economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries were reviewed. The Minister underlined that Japan considered Pakistan as an important country with which there were long-standing friendly ties. The Ambassador expressed his deep appreciation for Japanese help and assistance over the years. He said that the Government of Pakistan attached top priority to develop the economy of the country with a special focus in the energy sector. It was stressed that technology transfer, human resource development and capacity-building were critical in sharing Pakistan’s immense potential.
