Ambassador Farukh Amil called on the leader of the New Komeito Party, Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi. New Komeito Party is the coalition partner in the Government. The Ambassador highlighted that Japan as a leading parliamentary democracy in the world was of importance to Pakistan. He underlined that the business-oriented Government’s central focus was on the development of the energy sector and infrastructure in rail and road such as the KCR. Mr. Yamaguchi welcomed the Pakistan’s smooth democratic transition. He referred to the historic link between civilizations of Ghandhara in Pakistan and Nara in Japan. Mr. Yamaguchi said that he looked forward to visiting Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
