Ambassador Farukh Amil addresses a community meeting at the Embassy

 

      A community meeting was held at the Embassy on Sunday, attended by a large number of Pakistani citizens in Japan.  It was an interactive session.  Ambassador Farukh Amil speaking on the occasion said that all the Pakistanis living in Japan were important representatives of Pakistan contributing a lot to the  prosperity of their beloved country.  He called upon them to strive hard for strengthening relations in all fields such as education, economic, trade and culture between the two countries and also work for improving the positive image of Pakistan. The Ambassador said that the Embassy was the home of all Pakistanis living in Japan and its doors were always open for the community.  He stressed that if anyone had any matter they could call or meet with any of the concerned officers in the Embassy including the Ambassador.  He reiterated that the Embassy would always be available to help the community to solve their legitimate problems in Japan.
      During the talk, the Ambassador highlighted the efforts to improve the soft image of Pakistan through meetings with the chiefs of the media houses and delivering lectures in interactive sessions with students in leading universities of Japan.
      To enhance the volume of trade and investment between Pakistan and Japan, and appreciating the work of the economic and trade team, the Ambassador assured that the Embassy would make every effort to do even more.  On this occasion, the Commercial Counsellor informed that for the first time in history, mangoes’ had been successfully imported by the private sector and the first order for the import of dry apricot had been placed. After the Ambassador’s talk there was a lively question-answer session which was followed by the Eid- Millan Party where the citizens enjoyed traditional food.
