NUST signed an agreement with a Japanese IT company Plus W.

(Tokyo, March 17, 2022): National University of Science and Technology (NUST) signed an agreement with a Japanese IT company Plus W, aiming to create a foundation for Pakistan's advanced IT human resources to play an active role in Japan. Pakistan Embassy Tokyo facilitated the consultation process and signing of agreement between both parties.

Pakistan is an advanced IT education country that produces about 25,000 engineers annually, has a large population worldwide, and has a middle age of early 20s, and is expected to grow further in the future. In addition, because the official language is English, it is a country of interest with many human resources who can play an active role not only in Pakistan but also globally.

NUST and Plus W signed an agreement on Wednesday for the purpose of establishing the Japan-Pacific Human Resources Exchange Center within the NUST University, with the aim of creating opportunities in careers such as employment at Japanese companies as a career path after graduating from university. This is to deepen cooperation with the university side.

The signing ceremony was held online, and the Ambassadors of both countries who contributed to this signing were also present.

Ambassador Imtiaz Ahmed mentioned that this agreement will create opportunities for Pakistani youth and assured continued support in future. Rector NUST appreciated the role played by Embassy of Pakistan.
