(18-11-2016): A delegation of young Pakistani swimmers led by the Secretary General, Pakistan Swimming Federation, Ms. Veena Masud visited Japan to participate in 10th Asian Swimming Championship held in Tokyo. Taking time out of their hectic competitive swimming events, the team also visited to the Embassy.
Honouring the young swimmers the Ambassador welcomed them and appreciated their efforts in proudly flying Pakistan’s National Flag abroad. The Ambassador highlighted the importance of sports as a positive and healthy activity for the youth of Pakistan. He stressed that it was a matter of pride and joy to see Pakistan competing in these games and wished them further success in the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo.
The young swimmers were invited to give their views on their vision for a dynamic, progressive and prosperous Pakistan. Secretary General, Pakistan Swimming Federation, Ms. Veena Masud expressed appreciation to the Ambassador and all the officers of the Embassy for their support. Earlier the Deputy Chief of Mission visited the sports venue to cheer the Pakistani swimmers.
