Tokyo: Pakistan Day reception was celebrated with Japanese dignitaries including leading politicians, diplomats, corporate executives, prominent personalities from cross section of the Japanese civil society, the media and members of Pakistani Community.
The Ambassador highlighted the growing warmth of Pakistan-Japan relations, increasing confidence of Japanese corporations in Pakistan and underscored the forward-looking policies of the Government. He reiterated the words of the President and Prime Minister showing resolve of the Government to eliminate extremism and terrorism.
President of Japan-Pakistan Parliamentarians’ Friendship League Honour Mr. Seishiro Eto reiterated the importance of strong ties with Pakistan and highlighted Pakistan’s contribution to global peace through UNPKOs. He expressed hope that diplomatic and trade exchanges that witnessed growth during 2015 would continue to strengthen in the coming years. Pakistan’s Goodwill Ambassador for Sports Diplomacy Honourable Senator Antonio Inoki speaking at the reception said that Pakistan-Japan relationship was very important that need to be further advanced through promoting people-to-people contact, sports and cultural exchanges.
