Pakistan Human Resource Seminar

(Tokyo, February 22, 2023): Pakistan Embassy in Tokyo arranged Pakistan Human Resource Seminar-cum-Webinar today. In the event, representatives of more than 45 Japanese companies and 35+ Pakistani Overseas Employment Promoters participated physically. From Pakistan, 100+ Overseas Employment promoters participated in the event virtually. The purpose of the event was to spread awareness among Japanese human resource accepting and supervising organizations regarding Pakistan and Pakistani workforce. Secretary OP&HRD, while addressing virtually, told Japanese companies that Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development is making every possible effort to facilitate the emigration of workers from Pakistan to Japan under the agreements. Community Welfare Attaché briefed the audience about the previous work done and highlighted the role of various stakeholders in the process. Japanese companies were told about the existing legal framework in Pakistan, facilitation being provided by BEOE, role of played by Overseas Employment Corporation and National University of Technology in dispatching of first trainee workers from Pakistan to Japan and the latest developments in Pakistan. Chairman Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan. He said that private sector is fully equipped and cognizant of the requirements of Japanese companies to provide required skillful workers. Senior vice President of Japan International Training and Cooperation Organization presented the current facts about Pakistani workers in Japan. Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Japan, Raza Bashir Tarar, in his concluding address appreciated the efforts of Ministry of OP&HRD, BEOE, OEC, NUTECH and other relevant organizations. He thanked JITCO, OTIT and other Japanese stake holders for their continuous support. Ambassador-designate told that this is a work in progress and Japan market works on the principle of meritocracy. He stressed on the need of Japanese language learning by the intending emigrants. He mentioned that Minister of State on Foreign Affairs is directly supervising the whole process to ensure quick and smooth decision making.
