Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) visited Toyohashi University of Technology. After meeting with President Mr. Takashi Onishi who is also the President of the influential Japan Science Council, he gave a presentation to the students and Faculty. The Ambassador highlighted the strong heritage of Japan-Pakistan relations and encouraged the audience to consider stronger academic interaction with Pakistan. The lively Q & A session drew many questions ranging from women issues, democracy, global peace-keeping and cultural matters.
2. In warmly welcoming the first ever visit by Pakistani Ambassador, the President said that he was keen to enroll more students of science and technology from Pakistan at the University. Following the meeting and presentation, the Ambassador toured the state-of-the-art research facility, Evolution of the Electronics-Inspired Interdisciplinary Research Institute (EIIRIS), which is one-of-a-kind and developing cutting-edge technology in next-generation interdisciplinary research. The briefing tour of EIIRIS was conducted by leading Japanese scientist Professor Makoto Ishida.
