Visit to Bunkyo Tanki Daigaku Fuzoku Elementary School affiliated with Bunkyo University

Following a letter to the Ambassador regarding children’s pastimes and education in Pakistan, Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) visited Bunkyo Tanki Daigaku Fuzoku Elementary School at Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City to meet with the schoolchildren of Grade-3 (ages 9-10 years) and explain what life in a Pakistani School is like and the games children play.

The Japanese schoolchildren greeted the Ambassador with “Assalam-o-Alaikum” on arrival and “Allah Hafiz” on departure.  They asked many questions about children in Pakistan.  A map and drawing plus Pakistani and Japanese flags were prepared on the main board.  The schoolchildren presented hand-painted messages of peace and friendship to the Ambassador which are to be displayed in the Embassy.  The Ambassador asked the schoolchildren when they grew up to visit Pakistan.  The event was covered by the local media.
