A small and impressive toy donation ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo on 25th September, 2014.  This occasion was to cerebrate the donation of 400 boxes of academic toys from Mr. Hiroshi Yamamoto, CEO, EXACT Co., Ltd., for the children in Pakistan.

This ceremony started with the welcoming speech of Dr. Talat Imtiaz, Economic Minister, to greet friends of Pakistan and express her sincere gratitude to Mr. Yamamoto.  She also acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Teruo Hosono, Hanaban Co. Ltd. and Ms. Rie Watanabe, RAD LIFEDESIGN G.K., who helped to make this project a reality, as well as Mr. Behlum, JP Trading Co., Ltd., who will finally transport the toys to the cities in Pakistan. These toys include attractive English language learning CDs.  They will be distributed to the children in the SOS Children’s Villages in Pakistan and a deaf and dumb school for special children in Peshawar.  Dr. Talat Imtiaz also conveyed special thanks from the President of SOS Villages in Pakistan.

The letter of donation was presented to Ambassador Farukh Amil from Mr. Yamamoto. The Ambassador appreciated Mr. Yamamoto for his generosity in donating toys that may provide great opportunities of learning English in enjoyable ways to the children in Pakistan.  Children’s education remains a crucial point in Pakistan as in all developing countries.  He especially emphasized the need for education for children who are physically disadvantaged and anticipated the joy these toys would bring to them.  The Ambassador also appreciated the Japanese cooperation and thoughtfulness in the developmental efforts of Pakistan.

Mr. Yamamoto expressed his happiness in attending the ceremony.  He said that the toys were very good quality and were produced for Japanese children as learning a language from an early age helps in accomplishing it successfully.  He said it would be a great pleasure to see how the toys were used by Pakistani children.
