Tokyo: A Tourism Promotion Event was held in collaboration with Saiyu Travels here Saturday which was attended by 75 Japanese nationals. During the day-long event, the audience was given a presentation on the tourist attractions in Pakistan and a journey through Pakistani literature, cuisine and traditional dress.
Describing Pakistan as a country of varied landscapes and climates, the Ambassador welcomed the Japanese to see some magnificent and unique sites. Pakistan, he said possessed not just natural beauty but an immense human fabric woven over time to produce jewels ranging from Mohen-jo-Daro, Harappa and Taxila to the Mughal magnificence of the Shalimar Gardens, Lahore Fort and Badshahi Masjid. He urged them to see Pakistan and explore its beauty and serenity with their own eyes.
The Embassy plans to host another Tourism Promotion Event in addition to an event to promote hand- knotted carpets. These events are organized regularly at the Embassy for the delight and interest of many Japanese nationals.
