Skype Interaction with the children of Millennium Roots School, Hayatabad, Peshawar

Tokyo: Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) addressed the children of Millennium Roots School, Hayatabad, Peshawar over Skype.  The school has held a Certificate Awards ceremony for those children who painted a panel that is now part of the “Biggest Painting in the World”, an initiative of an NPO ‘The Earth Identity Project’.  The First Lady of Japan Ms. Akie Abe is the Patron-in-Chief of the project.

The interactive session between the Ambassador and the school children was very lively.  The children asked many questions about Japan’s daily life, education, culture and food.  The Ambassador was introduced to the youngest students who took part in the painting, Masters Hashim and Reyan both aged 3 and half years.  The students were very excited to hear that their work, after being displayed at Tokyo International Airport Haneda, would go to the Rio Olympics.  The Ambassador urged the school children to pursue their studies whole-heartedly and advised them to read more books on different topics such as science, arts and culture as well as the Quran because education was the very basis for the development and progress of any nation.  He also invited the children to visit Japan and experience life in a highly cultured, developed and industrialized society which is friendly towards Pakistan.
