Tokyo: School entrance ceremony was held at Nakoso Junior High School in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Press Counsellor on behalf of the Embassy participated in the ceremony to underscore the continuous support for the Tohoku region. He was warmly greeted by the Principal of the School Mr. Shirou Sawai and the Faculty.
The Press Counsellor congratulated the students and their parents on this occasion. A student whose father is a Pakistani businessman and mother is Japanese was the first ever from Pakistani community to be admitted in the School. The Press Counsellor said that students from the Pakistani community would grow to become a strong bond of friendship between Pakistan and Japan. Following the ceremony, the national anthems of Pakistan and Japan were played.
