Pakistani Mango Launching Ceremony at AEON, Osaka

            After the successful launch of Pakistani Mangoes at AEON chain of stores at Makuhari Mall, Tokyo in August, it was launched by the same chain of stores in Kansai region on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The event was held in AEON Kitahanada Mall, Osaka.  Pakistan Consulate Osaka, Embassy of Pakistan in collaboration with the AEON Corporation and FFC Pakistan succeeded in introducing Pakistani Mango to the Japanese consumers in Kansai and Kanto regions.  

Pakistani mango was welcomed in the food capital of Japan. During the tasting event, the customers were served with fresh mango slices resulting in the rapid sale of mangoes.  Representatives from the Pakistani community also attended the event to support the display and sale of the Pakistani delicious fruit in the Kansai region.

Speaking to the media, Commercial Counsellor, Osaka Muhammad Naseer described the nutritional value of Pakistani mangoes and it’s by-products. He also explained the natural growing process followed by the farmers in the Global GAP certified orchards.  He said that Pakistani soil and climate are very conducive for mango cultivation. He hoped that in future more fruits and vegetables would be imported from Pakistan. He also thanked the management of AEON for holding the mango-tasting event in Kansai.
