Pakistan Day Celebrations - 23rd March 2014

      Tokyo: Pakistan Day was observed with enthusiasm and fervour at Pakistan Embassy, Tokyo.  Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) performed the flag hoisting ceremony. 

      On this occasion Ambassador expressed appreciation for the Pakistani community living in Japan for their active participation on Pakistan Day celebrations.   He urged the Pakistan community to encourage their families especially those with shared heritage, to participate in such celebrations so as their children remained in touch with the rich history, culture and civilization of Pakistan. 

      After reading the messages of the Honourable President and the Honourable Prime Minister, the Ambassador reiterated that the need of the hour was that the vibrant Pakistani community should come together, uniting in their great efforts to contribute towards the success of Pakistan.  He reiterated the President’s message that democracy was vital adding that in order to truly develop Pakistan the Quaid’s vision for education must be followed.  The Ambassador said that the Founding Fathers had sacrificed immensely and today’s generation needed to follow in their wise foot-steps towards progress and development. 

      The Ambassador reiterated deep appreciation for the Pakistani community’s immense help and contribution during the Great East Japan Earthquake which had been recognized by the Japanese leadership and which was in consonance with the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam.  Pakistan Day ceremony ended with prayers for peace, prosperity and solidarity for dear homeland.
