Osaka: The Ambassador held a dinner meeting with the Japanese business community of the Kansai area (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo and Nara). Representatives from trading houses, trade promotion organization such as Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBPC), Osaka and media (Textile News) were present. The Ambassador informed the participants about the latest trends in the bilateral trade and the emerging opportunities in Pakistan. He explained the priorities of the business-friendly Government of Pakistan. He reiterated the invitation to the Japanese businessmen to visit Pakistan to explore trade and investment opportunities themselves. The participants posed queries regarding the status of bilateral discussions on trade and investment, the energy situation and business environment in Pakistan. They also strongly supported the idea of holding a Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in Osaka as well as in Tokyo.
