Kyoto: Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) called on the Chairman of Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Yoshio Tateisi. He briefed the Chairman and his Chamber members about the potential for business with Pakistan urging them to look beyond the traditional and established areas. The Ambassador noted that Pakistan is a resource rich country with outstanding agriculture products. He also requested the Chairman to extend the support for Pakistan’s efforts to improve textile exports from Pakistan.
The Chairman stated that Japanese companies were looking towards Pakistan as a promising sourcing market for the entire region due to its location. He also proposed to utilize the services of JETRO Kyoto Trade Information Centre, which would be launched in February 2015, to disseminate information about Pakistan to the business community of Kyoto. He assured the support of the Kyoto Chamber to promote trade and investment between Pakistan and Japan.
