Tokyo: Ambassador (فاروق عامل) met with Chairman Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mr. Junaid Esmail Makda. They discussed ways and means to strengthen trade and economic ties between Pakistan and Japan. The Chairman agreed with the Ambassador’s efforts and proposal to establish formal ties between respective Chambers of Commerce across Japan through MoUs. The Chairman also responded positively to Ambassador’s lobbying in Japan to reduce tariffs on Pakistan’s textiles. The Chairman promised to share the considered vision of the KCCI. Highlighting the role of Pakistan’s vibrant private sector the Ambassador invited the Chairman to send a trade delegation to Japan for a well-planned and coordinated visit.
