Lecture at Hitotsubashi University

Tokyo:  Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) visited Hitotsubashi University to deliver a lecture to the students of the International Department. Prior to the lecture the Ambassador met with President of the University Mr. Koichi Tadenuma.  He was joined by Executive Vice President Professor Koji Murata, Professor Nobumasa Akiyama of School of International and Public Policy and Professor Takashi Kurosaki of the Economics Department. They discussed establishment of educational linkages between Hitotsubashi University and Pakistani Universities along with exchange of Faculty and students.  Agreeing, the President said it was important to have meaningful relations between the academia of the two countries.  Hoping that more Pakistani students would study in Japan, the Ambassador expressed appreciation that the Graduate Studies Department would be accepting a Pakistani student shortly.

In his lecture the Ambassador highlighted Pakistan-Japan relations in their historical, political, cultural, and economic and trade perspective.  The students who attended the lecture belonged to different countries from Asia and Europe.  The lecture was followed by a lively question-answer session.
