Kobe: Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) called on Dr. Takahiro Shinyo, Vice President of Kwansei Gakuin University to discuss the opportunities of academic interaction between Japan and Pakistan. The University was founded in 1889 in Kobe. It has 695 Faculty members and more than 24,000 students. Dr. Shinyo informed the Ambassador that the University is working on attracting more foreign students and would be delighted to have students from Pakistan. He informed that many scholarships were available for suitable candidates. He also supported the idea to set up formal institutional linkages with leading Pakistani Universities.
