Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed here today. On this occasion Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Ali Javed read out the messages of the President and Prime Minister Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion the DCM highlighted the importance of United Nations Resolutions regarding Kashmir issue and emphasized the need that the only simple way to solve the Kashmir issue is by implementing UN Resolution on Kashmir giving the basic right of self-determination to Kashmiris to decide their future. He also quoted Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif‘s statement that dialogues will remain inconclusive with India until resolution of Kashmir dispute.
The publicity material highlighting the background of the Kashmir issue and showing the atrocities of Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir were displayed. Pakistani community and Japanese nationals attended the event. Two Pakistani nationals presented their poetry in Urdu in which the valour shown by the Kashmiri people against the brutalities and sacrifices rendered by them were highlighted. The event was concluded with the prayers for early resolution of Kashmir issue and prosperity of Pakistan.
