International Womens's Day at Pakistan Embassy, Tokyo

On Saturday 7th March 2015, a luncheon reception was convened at the Embassy Events Hall for the esteemed ladies from Pakistani Community to celebrate the International Women's Day.

Dr. Talat Imtiaz, Economic Minister, hosted the Event with a significant number of participants representing different shades of the community, including nearly a dozen children. Dr. Imtiaz was assisted by wives of the Embassy Officers as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Imtiaz, emphasized the role of women in a progressive society especially in a developed country like Japan. She added that taking advantage of this privilege, our women must harness their ability to elevate the image of Pakistan in the Japanese society.

The participants expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for Embassy's initiative to host a womens'-exclusive Event to mark the international women's day and termed it as unprecedented.

On the common agreement of all present, Mrs. Rehana Sahi was nominated as Coordinator for prospective facilitation for future womens'-exclusive Events at the Embassy of Pakistan.

The Event ended on a high note with all participants, especially children, enthusiastically singing the national anthem.
