Osaka: Commercial Counsellor, Osaka, Mr. Muhammad Naseer visited Kochi Prefecture, which is known for its SMEs clusters of agriculture, fishing, hand-forged cutlery and paper industry. In a meeting with Mr. Akihiro Aoki, Chairman, The Kochi Chamber of Commerce & Industry he underlined the potential of trade & investment promotion between Pakistan and Japan. He identified the strengths of the textile, leather, food, surgical instruments and sports goods sectors of Pakistan. He also hand over copies of booklet published by JICA and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in Japanese language about the leading exporters of Pakistan. While identifying the investment opportunities in energy and infrastructure development, he also elaborated the investment policy of the Government of Pakistan.
Mr. Aoki appreciated the visit of the Counsellor and promised to strengthen the organizational linkage for information exchange between the two countries. He supported the idea of holding seminar in the Chamber about “ Trade & Investment Opportunities in Pakistan” He offered his assistance to organize B2B meetings with the visiting delegates from Pakistan.
