Aoyama Gakuin Senior High School, the prep School for leading Aoyama Gakuin University and one of the Tokyo’s most prestigious English Medium Schools, established in 1948, held its annual English Speech and recitation contest. Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) participated as Honorary Judge. He met with the Principal and Faculty.
The Ambassador addressed the students and parents highlighting Pakistan’s Constitution, the importance of both education and democracy. Commenting on the themes chosen by the students, the Ambassador appreciated the concern for the struggle against hunger and poverty, the necessity for ensuring equality and human rights. He underscored that culture was critical in enhancing understanding between societies.
Highlighting Pakistan’s heritage of tolerance and diversity, the winning student was presented with a glossy book entitled “The Churches of Pakistan”.
