(30-07-2019): The newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Imtiaz Ahmad interacted with the Pakistani Community at the Pakistan Embassy. Addressing the Community representatives in Tokyo, he emphasized on the important role of the Pakistani Community in promoting the interests of Pakistan abroad and contribution towards economic development of the country. He said that the present Government is well committed to address all outstanding issues of overseas Pakistanis in an effective and quick manner.
The Ambassador also underscored the historically cordial relations between Pakistan and Japan while giving special reference to the renewed vigor and momentum in high-level exchanges that has made the relationship enter a new era of mutually beneficially cooperation.
The Ambassador acknowledged Japan’s role as Pakistan’s key development partner over the years. He pointed out that the areas of investment, human resource development, Information Technology, tourism and agriculture are key areas to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation. He added that the Government’s robust economic and investment policies coupled with largely improved security situation in Pakistan make it an attractive investment destination for Japanese companies.
The Ambassador extended all out cooperation and facilitation to the Community members for coherent efforts to best serve the interests of the country.
