Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) called on Vice Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry Mr. Norihiko ISHIGURO. He welcomed the visit of the Ambassador to highlight opportunities in Pakistan and share mutual areas of interest. He said continuous interaction would be very productive for business communities in both countries. He expressed his optimism towards trade and investment promotion in Pakistan as a logical consequence of the recent Government economic policies.
The Ambassador thanked the Vice Minister for the help and assistance by the Government of Japan over the decades for socio-economic development of Pakistan. He shared the current state of bilateral trade and opportunities for investment in Pakistan. He said, Pakistan, with its rich natural resource endowment and youthful population was the perfect partner for Japan, a country of renowned industrial capacity and technological progress. He also sought the support of METI for urging the Japanese companies to visit Pakistan and keep up the momentum created by the active participation of Japanese companies in EXPO 2013.
