Ambassador called on President / Executive MD of Japan Textile Association in Osaka along with Consul Osaka

In outlining the opportunities in Pakistan, Ambassador Farukh Amil (فاروق عامل) requested the support of JTIA to improve market access for Pakistani textiles. He invited JTIA to the next Expo in Karachi; to hold B2B meetings with PJBF delegation to Japan in January; and to send a dedicated delegation to Pakistan to visit the textile centres of Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore.

President JTIA Osaka said that he had 40 years of good experience of business with Pakistan and looked forward to greater interaction. Agreeing with the Ambassador, the President referred to the old Japanese proverb that "seeing once is better than hearing a 100 times." Noting the competitive costs that Pakistan offered, he promised to extend support. He welcomed the Ambassador’s suggestion to establish formal mechanisms between trade bodies such as JTIA and PJBF.
