Ambassador Farukh Amil participated in the May Festival in Tokyo University held at the University, Tokyo on 13 May, 2016.
Ambassador was warmly received by Mr. Babar Sajjad President, Pakistan Students Association, Japan (PSAJ) along with other members of the Association. Pakistani students, in collaboration with the Embassy, organized the Pakistani food and Hina stall (Pakistani Mehndi) at the festival. Ambassador appreciated the students efforts to project and promote the soft image of Pakistan through cuisines and cultural activities.
Ambassador also visited the food stalls of other students of friendly nations as a goodwill gesture which was widely appreciated by the students of the respective countries. Ambassador reiterated the message of peace and tolerance through cultural manifestation and advised the students to work hard to achieve their goals. He also invited the PSAJ to visit the Embassy for a friendly dinner.
Press Counsellor Dr. Rafique Ahmed Soomro and Third Secretary Mr. Adnan Javaid also accompanied the Ambassador.
