Pakistani Exchange Students visit Embassy

(31-01-2017): Students from the top universities in Pakistan i.e. Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences, NED, Hamdard, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and  Karachi University visited Japan as part of “SAARC 1st Batch” under Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths commonly known as JENESYS 2.0 in January 2017. During the visit students attended lectures on various important subjects, visited energy related facilities, local government and stayed with Japanese host families. The students along with their supervisor and representatives of Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE) also visited the Embassy.


  

Whilst welcoming the students the Ambassador underlined the significance of pursuing higher studies in Japan especially in science, technology, innovation, management sciences. He said that it was an excellent opportunity for the students to gain a wider knowledge of Japan from the innovative technology to traditional culture. He particularly stressed that civic sense, ethics, hard work and perseverance of the Japanese were very important characteristics to be acquired.

 

Earlier the Ambassador also participated in JENESYS 2016 Workshop where students from SAARC countries delivered presentations. In his speech the Ambassador underlined on the importance of people-to-people contact and learning from a society like Japan.

 

During the visit to the Embassy, the students recalled their positive experiences of visiting Japan and expressed appreciation for the support and encouragement they received from the Embassy.Later the Ambassador presented the certificates to the students for participation in the Program.
